Remember how I said Leonard was going to notice Jennifer’s watch just outside the tower entrance? Do you see what it’s doing? Well, the thing is, there would be no point in Leonard just now noticing it, because just as he was already aware that the androids were after Jenn, he already knows the watch is there. More later.

Speaking of that glow, I’d intended for the watch to start doing that all along, but I only finally added the glow effect right before I closed the book on Chapter 1 with the first real print run. Silly me, I thought it’d be a lot of work. Clearly I am a lazy bum.

And yes, here’s another named character in Leonard’s penthouse: Steve Harris, conservative accountant by day, mesh-shirted bruiser by night! Honestly, I’m making this note more for myself than anything else; I don’t want to forget all these side characters, because I intend on coming back to them later!
