Chapter 1 - Page 22
In which Leonard grabs Our Heroine by the arm with a wild look in his eye.
NOTES
As Jenn freaks out she appears to forget that, according to his own words, Leonard only assumed she was Jennifer Johnson because of the word choice of her irate remarks back on that one page I hate. Maybe she thinks that whole “you must be Jennifer Johnson” thing was just a line to allay suspicions — after all, I said the girl was paranoid.
The last panel is actually the next to last panel of the first page flipped, tweaked, and turned red instead of blue. This isn’t (just) me being lazy, though — it’s a kind of symmetry. Jenn opens the book freaking out over a dream and ends it freaking out over reality with the same expression. It works even better in the print edition, where the cover features her on the blue side of the cover and a certain someone on the red.
